When people ask me what I do, I say I'm in advertising. Then they just say "oh." And the only thing that makes any sort of sense to them is by saying "Peggy, from MadMen." Then they nod and ask me if we drink that much, are that obsessed with sex, and are generally that wild. Because they don't care about what we do for work. They care about what we do AT work. Because we are crazy.
This is exactly why it's hard for me to get used to military life. Because I'm used to the crazy life.
